A Consultant's Duties and Project Risk
[ send me this paper ]
A 7 page paper discussing these issues in the
context of a large organization's desire to implement a customer service center. In today's
business environment, it is often necessary for organizations to have access to specialized
techniques they cannot justify maintaining in-house. The use of a consultant is a workable
and common alternative, but not all consultants are as qualified as they would have clients
believe, and not all organizations intend to truly purchase consultant's labor but merely wish
to gain free ideas for their own use. Each needs to protect themselves from loss of revenue.
The consultant needs to present himself as a professional worthy of fee payment; the client
needs to gain benefit. Bibliography lists 13 sources.
