[ send me this paper ]
A 2 page discussion of the book, In the Pattern of
Gods Truth, by Frank Gaeblein. In this book the author is addressing the concern that
too often people do not truly understand the Word of God because they are relying on
others for the reading and the interpretation of Gods Word, which is truth. The book
discusses these realities by also addressing the fact that any subject matter should be
clearly defined by the truth set forth in the Word of God, and should not be merely
assumed to be truth unless supported by the word of God. No additional sources cited.

Myths of the Ulster Cycle
[ send me this paper ]
The stories, myths and legends of the Gaelic people are, for the most part, not very well known in North America. This gap in our cultural literacy is unfortunate, for the Celtic peoples developed a rich and fascinating tradition of legends and myths. The Mythological Cycle is a collective term for those stories in ancient myths that describe the activities of the 'Otherworld' characters who are reputed to have landed in Ireland in pre-historic times. The Mythical Cycle was the first of the cycles and was followed by the Fionn Cycle and the Ulster Cycle. The epic tales of the Ulster Cycle are an intriguing look into the early beliefs and cultural norms of the Celts in Ireland. They were written during a time of great change and the incorporation of old ideas with a testing of the new is evident in many of the stories. This 6 page paper examines the characters, myths and legends that were included in the tales of the Ulster Cycle. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
